Team Building Activities
The thought of working for a company who would consider dropping me into the countryside for team building activities makes me want to scream. I know it's the fashion now, and it seems anti-social to object to them, but I would rather be left alone for a night in a haunted house than participate. Don't we see enough of our colleagues thru the week without spending all week-end with them? I have certainly had bosses from whom I badly needed a break, otherwise I would have strangled them.

Okay, who am I kidding; guys like to lounge about, engrossed in video games. Although there are a few females somewhere, I don't know any of them. It's funny how the playstation 2 game system can control lives. Were you aware that some individuals even make a living in the video game circuit? Yep, that's right; they play for cash prizes. How ridiculous is that? Oh well, if you can make cold hard cash doing what you love, then so be it. There is just something addictive about those darn high-tech video games.

Back in high school, I practically lived at the air hockey table down at the arcade. We would all meet down there after school and play until we used up all of our quarters, or we had to go home for dinner – whichever came first. Of course, it wasn't just about playing the air hockey table, but about hanging out with the gang. Everyone was there, Joe with his put on tough guy smile and soft inner layer, Susan with her stupid songs that she was always singing and that fantastic smile, Johnny always scheming and talking big... I could go on. Half a dozen of us, all crowded around the air hockey tables and just whacking the puck around.
